Metaverse
NAROA'S LINES OF WORK:
Naroa Armendariz has two lines of work, with respect to Metaverse, these are explained as follows:
"I am very interested in the idea of being able to create permanent exhibitions wich are accessible worldwide with a single click. Even more so if these have been experienced on a physical level and one has the opportunity to create exactly the same scenario with additions that are impossible to experience on a physical reality.
On a creative level, the idea of generating worlds through strokes, textures, colours, movements and music; to be able to travel through them, to dive and immerse oneself in the emotions that they awaken, is something that fascinates me.

That is to say, I love the idea of being able to create a space where everything is possible, where the only limit is the imagination".
ENTER METAVERSE:

There are currently two projects you can visit in the Metaverse:
1."Go to Metaverse 1": By entering this button you will visit the digital twin room of the Polvorín of the Pamplona Citadel where the exhibition "Indian Ink and Metaverse: 2.500a.c-2.500d.c" took place in the summer of 2022.

2. "Go to Metaverse 2: Sumi-e & +": By entering this section you will be able to see the collection of works that make up the exhibition "Sumi-e & +" that is taking place at the Ormolu Gallery in November 2023. You'll have to walk around to enjoy all the artworks!

You can access directly through the web from any device without having to register anywhere or download any software, although the greatest sense of immersion is experienced with VR glasses (see list of compatible VR glasses).

In this new artistic stage in which Naroa integrates digital techniques and media into her physical work, she brings to life digital animations applied on her paintings. This allows her to unite and give meaning to the different pictorial resources she has been using throughout her life, bringing humour and lightness to works with profound depth. The novelty of this technology has allowed her to create NFTs of her work. These NFTs can be seen via the Metaverse.

WHAT ARE NFTS?
​
Non-fungible tokens, or NFTs for short, are unique, unrepeatable and indivisible digital assets certified using blockchain technology (the same technology used in cryptocurrencies). In other words, they are a digital certificate of authenticity that, through this technology, are associated with a single digital file. This makes it possible to prove that the person who buy them is their sole owner. This technology has revolutionised the art market, generating sales of amounts similar to those of works by artists of the stature of Picasso in auction houses such as Christie's, as well as in marketplaces or NFT sales platforms.
